Overview

The 7th Equal Opportunities Conference “Digital Innovation and Business Sustainability” is ‎organized by Ahlia University in collaboration with Brunel University London and the University ‎of Business and Technology KSA, the conference will take place 6th -7th February 2024, Manama, Bahrain.

The Conference aims to gather leading academics, professionals, scholars, and researchers ‎to share their knowledge and new ideas and discuss current developments in the ‎field of digital innovation and business sustainability with an integration of equal opportunities in different context.

This conference aims ‎to shed the light on topics related to the use of digital innovation and business sustainability that ‎could support policy makers, business leaders and higher education institutions in various ways in relation to usage of different digital innovative tools to support operations and business sustainability. The audience will benefit from different research papers from national, regional, and international scholars discussing real issues tacking the use of digital innovation in different aspects including governance, education, communication, and other related fields. In line with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, the conference is focused on Gender Equality and therefore topics will be presented with a gender quality focus.

The conference aims to tackle issues related to the following aspects: 

  • - Assess the impact of Digital Innovation and Business Sustainability on organizational ‎effectiveness. ‎
  • - Shed light on different Digital Innovation tools and techniques in relation to the business sustainability in different contexts.
  • - Publish high-quality research that focuses on gender quality in terms of application, use or practice of different digital innovation tools in a transformative ‎business environment covering various contextual factors.
  • - Act as a guide for scholars, practitioners, and policymakers while devising or revising policies ‎and procedures related to United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.‎

We are pleased to announce that Springer Nature’s proceedings technically support the 7th Equal Opportunities Conference. The conference book proceeding will be published with an ISBN number and indexed by SCOPUS. 

A selection of papers will be published as Journal Publication in Q1 and Q2 in a special issue ‎dedicated to the conference subject to further developments to match the journal ‎requirements. ‎

The conference is designed to serve directly United Nations Sustainable Development Goals specifically SDG4 Education Quality, SDG5 Gender Equality, and SDG17 partnership with the Goals.

Publication Opportunity

Papers accepted for the 7th Equal Opportunities Conference after the double-blind peer-review process will be published in conference proceedings, which is indexed by SCOPUS.

Additionally, selected papers that have been presented at the conference will also be considered for further development of a possible publication in the highly esteemed partner journals listed below. Note that journal editors are provided with the conference proceedings and will make selections if they feel the work is appropriate and of sufficient quality for the journal. If invited to publish in a journal authors will be expected to develop the work by 40-50%, including a change of title and abstract. Individual journal procedures will need to be followed and there is no guarantee of publication. Of course, this will include one or more of the following journals:

Supporting Scientific Research Policy

The 7th Equal Opportunities Conference may follow many policies to support the scientific research ‎movement and attracts high-quality research. Such policies may be as follows: ‎

Best Paper Award

To encourage high-quality scientific research, the conference may give an award for the best ‎paper and presentation in the whole conference. The author may be awarded and his paper ‎may be displayed on the journal webpage for a conference. ‎

Encouraging Scientific Research for Youths and Ph.D. students

The 7th Equal Opportunities Conference may have an important role in supporting scientific ‎research for young researchers and Ph.D. students through many policies to be discussed in the ‎statute of the conference such as dedicating one issue for outstanding Ph.D. papers in Arab and ‎international universities.‎

Publication Conditions

  1. 1. The 6th Equal Opportunities Conference gives priority to applied empirical studies which aim to overcome business and technology problems and obstacles faced by institutions and propose solutions for these problems.
  2. 2. The 6th Equal Opportunities Conference welcomes articles via its submission ‎management system. Typed in (two spaces) including margins, references, tables, ‎excerpts, and appendixes. With wide margins (2.5cm and more) at the top, bottom, and ‎sides of the pages.‎
  3. 3. The author shall provide an abstract for his article not more than (250 words) in ‎addition to keywords.‎
  4. 4. ‎The first page of the article shall include the title of the article, name(s) of the researcher(s), ‎workplace, address, and contact number. To ensure confidentiality, the names of the researcher(s) ‎or any sign that may lead to it, must not be mentioned in the body of the article. Any ‎thanks phrases to the reviewers or others may be mentioned by the researcher(s) if ‎wished.‎
  5. 5. ‎The articles must be written in intact language using an academic unbiased style of ‎writing. Articles shall not exceed (10) pages including references, appendixes, tables, ‎figures, and margins.‎
